For those in the know, Babyshoe Pass is a remote pass nestled between the volcanoes of Mount St. Helens and Mount Adams that provides a back-door way from Seattle to Portland, avoiding the crowded Puget Lowland. René Herse named their iconic 650b tire in honor of this path less travelled, so naturally, the Babyshoe balances all-surface grip and sufficient volume in a silhouette that rolls as fast as race tires on the road yet floats over rougher surfaces when the pavement ends.
